If you have been in the online marketing industry or have had anything to do with an online business, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing or any of the other business models designed for online use.
I can almost guarantee that you have heard the term SEO used before.
Okay, we’ll go over what exactly SEO is I am sure many know that it stands for: search engine optimization right!
First off I want to set the record straight, there are no deep dark industry secrets to SEO and anyone that is trying to sell you some, are in my opinion ripping you off and stealing your money.
SEO strategies and practices, are however real, and in most cases without a person that has been doing SEO for a while and keeps up with all the changes that the search engines are continuously doing to improve their search results it can be quite complicated the easiest way to eliminate the complication of SEO is test, test, and test some more.
But I am here to help you, to unravel all the great mystery behind SEO that all the scammers, spammers, and scheme artists want you to believe it is super complicated and hard to do.
And no, just because a competitor of mine is doing something differently from how I am marketing things does not necessarily make them a spammer.
A spammer to me is basically a person (or organization) that intentionally sends irrelevant or unsolicited messages in the masses to large numbers of email addresses or internet users, for the sole purpose of either advertising, phishing of some sort of information from unexpected individuals, or to spread malware whether it be friendly, tracking, or carrying vicious viruses.
People like that, I feel, should be banned for life from the internet because they are giving the internet a very bad name; showing that all humans are not decent caring individuals that they portray to be.
And I believe that once you learn the major difference between bad advertising habits and all about proper SEO you will see it really is not rocket science.
Additionally, if SEO practices are done on a daily basis, it is not really all that complicated.
However, making sure that any material you post online is in compliance with what the Search Engines are looking for in online submitted material, will greatly increase your odds of your material getting a very high ranking in the Search Engine’s positioning.
It’s much like the indexing system at your local library (you remember those?) but instead of individual publications like magazines, newspapers, or books.
The search engines actual index every article, paper, image audio recordings, blog submission, and even videos and movie clips so all that material that gets indexed by the search engines on a daily basis an estimated 2.5 quintillion bytes
Now, what the heck is search engine optimization? Well we also, by now know what a search engine is correct!
That’s the platforms people use online like Google, Baidu, Yandex, and Bing (just to name a few of the more popular ones from around the world) to search for documents, material, information, or data concerning a subject, concept, or product.
And before the search engines share the locations of all that data it organizes the data by subject or topic relevancy which is also known as the rank assigned to the material or data cluster by the search engine.
Much like the indexing system of the libraries the Search Engines organize all that material so they can give every search that is performed on their platform the most recent and relevant material pursuant to the word, group of words, or word phrase (Keywords) the searchers use when seeking information.
Each segment of data, document, or material such as articles, papers, and blogs are sorted and ranked according to the search engines algorithm: which is basically a huge program with a large number of priorities, requirements, or relevancies (it’s estimated to be over 2,000 criteria items) that the search engines want to see to determine the importance of that particular data, document, or material.
The internet runs much like how our library systems are running but at much faster speeds and handling much more extremely larger amounts of data than any library in existence today can handle without modern technology or its devices.
But this is why many terms with the internet industry (or jargon) are the same as what librarians and their employees have been using for centuries.
Moreover, to sum up, SEO I would say it is the ability to design and practice strategies that will best comply with the Search Engines algorithms, along with the priority of the algorithms’ ranking system to enable better positioning within the search engine’s search results.
Something to think about, if you were to ask 50 experts or so-called experts on SEO I am sure each one would give a slightly different version but very similar or very close to the same description.
I, on the other hand, am a guru I share what I have discovered over the years to work in helping material get better rankings, and in return helps build traffic volumes to your website, and should slowly result in more profits for the same efforts.
On a quick side note, it is mind-blowing when you stop and think just how much information is submitted, swiped, texted, emailed, or videotaped on a daily basis.
Just think about it there are over 3.7 billion humans worldwide that use the internet, and Google estimates that it is now conducting over 40,000 searches every second of every day.
What to learn more interesting facts, check out this graphic art showing many more interesting facts about how much and where the information that is submitted daily to the internet comes from.
Accordingly, search engine optimization is the continued on-page and off-page SEO practices to prove to the search engine algorithms that the relevancy priorities of the material that you submitted fall into their “ideal” material of the topic of the keyword, group of words, or phrase that is being searched.
In other words, SEO is basically trying to comply to all the requirements set into place by the search engine’s within their algorithm programs to get your material ranked more relevant and pursuant to the keyword or words being searched.
It is important for the Search Engines to provide the best-suited blog, article, or data for every search conducted on its platform; this assures that, the person doing the search gets the most current and relevant results for each and every search (3.5 billion daily) they do for people.
That is what makes SEO very important to the Search Engines, so they can provide each searcher with this information in their results: if not the searcher may become frustrated and start using a different Search Engine altogether.
And if you ask me it seems that Google is staying ahead of the searching trends (more people globally use mobile devices now than PC or desktop computers) and plans on remaining the top dog for searches globally for a long time to come.
That is why Google is continuously making algorithm changes to assure its searches are both very current and very relevant to the keyword or words being searched every time a search is conducted on their platform.
So for the online business owner even though we do not know exactly what the Search Engines algorithm’s priorities are (proprietary secrets) through practices we can find out what improves our ranking within the results of certain keywords, this tells us if our changes helped our ranking or if it hindered it.
Now some of you may be asking okay:
“Why is this important to me or my business?’
Actually, I am glad you were thinking that question and it came to mind as you were reading this so far!
Furthermore, if a new online business owner wants to learn how to create traffic to their website SEO is one of the best
methods there is. Yes, you read that right it’s FREE to do SEO on your own website and personal blogs that you write promoting, sharing, or simply informing of information with your visitors on your website, or online store.
Additionally, there is a list of things many online business owners know that Google or any of the Search Engines use within their algorithm programs to rank websites and material with; but the importance of each priority is and will remain a closely guarded secret.
The main reason being, if this information is released to the general public many business owners would figure out ways to manipulate the system.
And if that were to happen it could be the end of the Search Engines and the Search Engines do not want that to happen. Because if that were to occur (not that I would, but I could) rig my blog to appear number one for a certain keyword this would not cause any major disruption right?
I would have the potential to manipulate the ranking system to where I could get a blog about finger painting to rank number one for a keyword or keywords pertaining to antacids or indigestion relief.
See the catastrophic problem and dilemma the Search Engines would be facing if that were to happen, now?
I thought so, if I could get blogs to rank as number one for any keyword I wanted, it would destroy the Search Engine’s reliability to provide its searches with the most current and relevant material to a certain keyword or keywords like you can do when using Jaaxy the keyword research tool.
And that would be very devastating for them because a blog that appeared in the search was not even remotely relevant to that keyword.
That would make the Search Engine ineffective; because they could no longer provide the most current and relevant material pursuant to a keyword or keywords.
After all, that is why so many people use the search engines to get the best of the best for each search they perform, thus saving time from manually searching through the massive indexes of websites and material within the data banks of the internet.
Equally important, to me (as an online business owner), as to the Search Engines, I want the material I post to the internet to be ranked according to the relevancy of the keyword or keywords that I target my material towards.
In other words, I don’t want a searcher to search for ways to increase website traffic and get results from websites that show its users how to make purchases using PayPal.
It does me no good, and in turn, it would not help the searcher trying to find the information that I provided to the internet.
So the more I can improve my ranking through SEO practices (taught on this platform) the higher ranked my material will show in the relevant search on the Search Engines’ searches.
The higher the ranking in given search results, the more free traffic it will produce, and if there are 3.5 billion searches being conducted on a daily basis (I know all of those searches are not for my particular keyword or keywords).
Regardless I still want to get highly ranked on as many of those searches as possible; so the more I practice SEO the better I can get ranked and the more visitors will be directed to my website on e-commerce store or whatever your online presence is.
The more visitors the more chances of potential conversions from visitor to customer.
And that my friends, is the bottom line, as to why we should learn and practice SEO for our websites (here’s a great hosting platform to build a website on) and all the content we submit to the internet,
The answer to both of the above questions; is because there is an unwritten mutual agreement that helps all parties involved, the person doing the search for material, the online business owner, and the Search Engines within the same process.
The best part is that this agreement keeps all the searches conducted on the internet producing results that are relevant to the keyword or keywords being searched.
When done properly and correctly SEO not only helps the Search Engines by making it easier for them to provide what the person using their platform wants; when they do specific searches for keywords.
In return for making the Search Engine’s job easier of providing the best and most relevant material in their searches, the Search Engines provide the online business owner that practices SEO on a continuous (on and off page) basis a better ranking within the ranking positions.
The results, in the long run, it is a win, win, and win situation: let’s not forget the individual that is conducting the actual search they too gain by the best material being provided for the keyword they searched!
Okay, that about wraps it up for this bit of information today, keep an eye open I am sure that I will be producing yet another informational industry secret revealing that the so-called experts want you to fork over your hard earned cash to share it with you.
“Industry Secrets” geesh, they should be ashamed of themselves for thinking smart individuals like you and I are dumb enough to just give them our money!!
Speaking of INDUSTRY SECRETS I think I am going to make this the first part of a series on SEO since that seems to be a topic that a lot of people are confused about and want to know more information about it because they know it helps get more organic (FREE) traffic to their websites.
And I want to help as many people as possible get a better understanding of how they too can start their own business online with a relatively simple website, increase website traffic through SEO practices, and get the chance to share what they too have learned that holds value to many.
This will help them improve their financial situation and how many people out there in the world today what to do that?
So proper and consistent SEO practices will result in an increased potential customer ratio, an increased odds of receiving a commission, producing a win, win, win situation where all parties involved benefit.
